My Win 10 hit by 'Start button and taskbar right click' problem three weeks ago after a system crash during automatic patch, as the web suggests it is a UI issue and no other issue is observed, I continue using my computer.
Last Thu, my computer suddenly hangs while I perform web browsing, although the system finally unfroze and I can close all applications. The PC slowing down hundreds times. Even startup and shutdown time get affected. I think originally it simply can't boot again.
After letting the PC alone for hours, I get it boot and login with unbearable slow response time. I manage to login but the computer slows down to uselessness. After some research, I try to see if the computer hit by a virus and try to load Norton internet security, it reports that it has corrupted. I discover by turn off Norton internet security, the system becomes not so slow.
I try to contact Norton support and found (with remote diagnostics session) that Norton no longer able to reinstall even after remove with all related files and registry removed. (Window defender turn on after Norton removed, but I believe that the problem is caused by Window, likely window defender)
By now, my computer got unresponse when I open a web page with adobe flash component, call up the file dialog (e.g., open file or download file from the web), It is usually frozen for a few minutes and come back after. I plan to try refresh Win 10 (reset Win 10 will take a long time to reinstall all programs and redo the configuration which I try to avoid).
Do anyone has any suggestion.
